Łukasz Murzyn

Urodzony w 1982 roku w Krakowie. Od 2002 do 2007 roku studiował na Wydziale Malarstwa krakowskiej Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w 2005 roku także w Hogeschool voor de Kunsten w Utrechcie (Holandia). W 2013 roku uzyskał doktorat na ASP w Krakowie a w 2019 habilitację. Wykłada na Wydziale Sztuki Uniwersytetu Pedagogicznego w Krakowie. Tworzy wideo instalacje, instalacje i performance. Autor ponad dwudziestu prezentacji indywidualnych, uczestnik kilkudziesięciu wystaw zbiorowych. Eksperymentuje z kontekstem sztuki. Łączy nowe media z zagadnieniami psychologii religii i liturgią Kościoła. Interesuje się także problemami dziedzictwa oraz kryzysu cywilizacyjnego i kulturowego.

Born in 1982 in Kraków (Poland). In 2002-2007 he studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. In 2005, also at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht. In 2013 he obtained a doctoral degree, and in 2019 also habilitation. Lecturer at the Art Department of the Pedagogical University in Krakow. He creates installations, video installations and performances. Author of over twenty individual presentations, participant of many group exhibitions. Łukasz Murzyn experiments with the context of art. He combines the art of new media with the issues of the psychology of religion. He is also interested in issues of cultural heritage, civilization crisis and methods of dialogue.
